Partially Oriented Yarn (POY)

Polyester partially oriented yarn, commonly known as polyester POY, is the primary form of polyester yarn. It is also known as polyester pre-oriented yarn. It is the first form of yarn made directly by spinning polyester chips. Polyester POY is mainly used to make textured yarns. Polyester POY can be available in two glosses: Semi Dull and Bright. In addition, Dyed dope technology is used to create colored POY. Polyester POY is mainly available in cone packs as per customer requirements.

Draw Textured Yarn (DTY)

Drawn Textured Yarn (DTY) yarn is obtained when Polyester POY is simultaneously twisted and drawn. DTY yarn is mainly used in weaving and knitting fabrics for making garments, home decorations, seat covers, bags, and numerous different things. DTY yarn can be in Semi Dull or Bright or Triloble Bright depending upon the kind of areas of filaments.

Polyester FDY is the abbreviation for Polyester Fully Drawn Yarn. It is also known as Polyester Filament Yarn (PFY) or Spin Draw Yarn (SDY). FDY is mainly used as weft or weaves in making fabrics. FDY can be knitted or woven with any other filament yarn to get fabric of various varieties. It is mainly used in Home Furnishing Fabrics, Fashion Fabrics, Denim, Terry Towel, etc. FDY yarn is mainly available in 3 lusters – Semi-dull (SD), Bright (BR) having circular section & Triloble Bright (TBR) having triangular cross-sections.

Air Textured Yarn (ATY)

ATY can offer an entirely different look and hand to any fabric. It can be used in an extensive range of fabrics, from simple, lightweight scrim to hefty duty soft luggage fabrics, from lightweight swimwear to heavy weight parkas. Who can mix several filament yarns to construct the ideal ATY for sure endues? ATY is a relatively expensive yarn if the denier is low. But higher deniers compare very favorably with competitive spun yarns.

ATY yarns are made from POY; ATY is a yarn with zillions of small loops, which give it a distinct feeling and look, whereas DTY is a yarn with preferably no loops at all. The loops in ATY contribute to the bulk and loft of fabric, whereas in DTY, the consistent crimp in every filament creates the bulk and volume of fabric.

Monofilament Yarn

Polyester Spun yarn
